Mongolian Beef

Citrus Pear

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 1 Citrus Pear Beef with Broccoli meal
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste
  • Beef broth (optional)
  • Green onions, sliced

HOW TO MAKE IT:

Thaw Beef with Broccoli meal overnight in the fridge. Separate meat from liquid and place in separate plastic bag, reserve the liquid.

Add 1/3 cup cornstarch and shake to coat the meat thoroughly.

Pour canola canola oil into a large frying pan, and heat on medium high heat.

Add the steak to the pan in a single layer and cook for 30 seconds per side (1 minute total).

Add 1/4 tsp ginger powder, 1 tsp garlic, and red pepper flakes to desired spice, to the pan and sauté.

Next add the reserved liquid from meal bag to the pan and bring to a boil while folding the steak into the sauce. The sauce should begin to thicken. (Can add additional beef broth if needed.)

Remove from heat and add sliced green onions.

Serve over rice, rice noodles, or in lettuce wraps.
