Citrus Pear

It’s fall ya’ll, and at Citrus Pear that means soup’s on! If you want to elevate your dinner game, adding the right side can take your dinner from good to gourmet in no time. Whether you’re aiming for something hearty or light, the right combination elevates flavors and textures. Here are a few classic and creative pairings to try with your favorite soups on Novembers menu:

  • Get veggie with it
    • If your soup has a carbohydrate source like potatoes or pasta, we recommend adding a side of vegetables to balance your “plate”. Try roasted green beans or broccolini for extra fiber and vitamins alongside our Creamy Chicken & Tortellini Soup.
  • Add texture
    • Sometimes soups with a lot of broth and tender vegetables can use a “bite”. Try Crostini’s made with baguettes, olive oil, and salt. A great alternative to a traditional cracker and pairs well with our Zuppa Toscana.
  • It’s a chili party
    • Who can have chili without cornbread? Cornbread is a favorite side to serve with chili to mix up the traditional dinner roll. Mix it up even more with a special Pumpkin Cornbread that compliments our Fire Roasted & Tomato Chipotle Chili beautifully!
  • Make it cozy
    • Nothing feels more comforting than ladeling up big bowls of something cozy and warming then topping with biscuits. Our creamy chicken pot pie soup topped with flaky biscuits is a go-to comfort food dinner. Simply place uncooked biscuits atop the pot of soup and bake at 425 F for 18-20 minutes until golden brown. Delicious!
  • Add a grilled cheese (or quesadilla 😋)
    • A timeless duo, any soup pairs beautifully with the crispy, melty richness of grilled cheese or quesadilla. Our favorite is our Tortilla soup with a crispy cheese quesadilla on the side.
  • Go green
    • Any type of salad is always an excellent pairing with soup. You can keep it simple with a basic garden salad or mix it up with a tomato and cucumber salad (link to recipe)

Mix and match these combinations, or get creative and experiment with your own favorite soups and sides. Whether it’s for a quick lunch or a cozy dinner, these pairings will make your soup experience even more satisfying!
